The Head Teller at Renasant Bank plays a crucial role in delivering a best-in-class branch experience for both customers and teammates. This position encompasses five primary areas of responsibility: customer engagement, service execution, operational excellence, leadership, and management. The Head Teller is expected to have a deep understanding of Renasant Bank's policies and procedures, as well as customer service standards. This role involves leading by example, inspiring the team to provide exceptional service, and ensuring that operations run smoothly. The Head Teller will also be responsible for recognizing and referring sales opportunities to other bank representatives or lines of business when appropriate, all while adhering to bank policies and procedures. In addition to overseeing Teller and Senior Teller responsibilities, the Head Teller often serves in a leadership capacity for the teller experience and for the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager. This position requires a proactive approach to mentoring and onboarding new Tellers, ensuring they have a positive experience and complete all necessary training. The Head Teller will also participate in interviewing, selecting, and training new teammates, contributing to the overall success of the branch. The Head Teller must execute daily operations, including balancing, ordering supplies, and managing the ATM and vault. They will also be responsible for conducting monthly and quarterly branch assessments, protecting the bank from unnecessary risks by following compliance and operational procedures, and leading sales, service, and operational meetings alongside the Branch Manager or Assistant Manager. This role is essential in maintaining a high standard of customer service and operational excellence within the branch.
