About The Position

Chevy Chase Club is seeking a dynamic, high-energy Head Swim Coach to lead our competitive swim program and create an unforgettable experience for our swimmers and families. Requirements

• Minimum two seasons of coaching experience (supervisory experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of swim techniques and competitive strategy
• CPR/AED & First Aid certified
• Safety Training for Coaches certified (or equivalent)
• Positive, organized, and relationship-driven leader

Nice To Haves

• Lifeguard certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Assistant Swim Coaches
• Plan and run engaging practices and competitive swim meets
• Develop swimmers' technique, confidence, and competitive edge
• Run organized, high-energy swim meets from start to finish (lineups, timing systems, results, volunteers)
• Build strong relationships with swimmers, families, and the team
• Partner with the Aquatics Director on program planning, events, and communications
• Ensure swimmer safety and positive team culture
• Manage scheduling, records, team systems (Team Manager, Meet Manager, Team Unify), and equipment
• Champion safety, teamwork, and sportsmanship
