About The Position

Love coaching and working with young athletes? We got you.

Passionate about coaching the lifesaving skill of swimming? We are looking for
individuals, age 21+ to serve as a Head Swim Coach. As a Head Swim Coach, you
develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility
that will serve you for a lifetime!

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• 1+ years experience coaching competitive swimming
• Ability to obtain Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (training provided)
• YMCA USA Coaching Certification (training provided)

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years experience teaching swim lessons preferred
• 1+ years experience managing staff preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Youth Development, Physical Education, Sports Management, Psychology, or related fields preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop age group swim teams while supporting the Association Director of Competitive Aquatics
• Coaches all levels and age groups of the competitive aquatics teams
• Design and implement practices and workout schedules
• Maintain communication with athletes and families
• Provide on and off deck leadership and enthusiasm to team members
