About The Position

Head Rodeo Coach Colby Community College is seeking a dynamic, student-focused leader to serve as Head Rodeo Coach and build a competitive, nationally recognized program. The salary range for this position is between $43,200 - $54,150 . The College offers up to $2,000 in relocation expense reimbursement, to join our wonderful community. Evening, weekend, and travel commitments are required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • Experience competing in rodeo required.
  • Strong communication, recruiting, and organizational skills.
  • If the selected candidate holds an associate degree, the College expects the individual to be on a degree pathway toward a bachelor’s degree within three years of employment.
  • Obtainment of a bachelor’s degree will be required for continued employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous coaching or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and attract student-athletes to the rodeo program.
  • Coach and mentor competitors to succeed at the regional and national levels.
  • Travel with students for practices and competitions.
  • Oversee care and management of practice livestock and rodeo facilities.
  • Assist with operations at the Colby Community College Farm.
  • Coordinate and host the annual Colby Community College Rodeo.
  • Encourage academic success and community involvement among team members.
