About The Position

The Head of US Products is accountable for the development, enablement and governance of CFC’s US product portfolio. The role ensures that products are commercially compelling, operationally scalable and compliant by design with relevant US regulatory requirements. Working at the intersection of Underwriting, Operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance, you will own the end‑to-end US product lifecycle; from strategy and design through to filing, delivery, optimisation and ongoing performance management. This role is pivotal in enabling our teams to deliver smarter, faster outcomes for brokers and customers.

  • Your stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical capability and confidence using data to inform decisions.
  • A clear, confident communicator, able to simplify complex product and regulatory topics.
  • Resilient, adaptable and delivery‑focused, comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the US product strategy and roadmap in line with CFC USA’s growth ambitions and risk appetite.
  • Own the end‑to-end US product lifecycle: discovery, design, delivery, regulatory approval, launch, optimisation and retirement.
  • Lead and oversee the US state filings process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and approvals.
  • Oversee drafting, review and maintenance of state‑specific and amendatory endorsements and associated documentation.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting US products and translate requirements into practical product and operational updates.
  • Establish and maintain a robust product governance framework that balances speed to market with regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Pricing/Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology teams.
  • Provide best‑practice product enablement, including product playbooks, guidelines, training and communications.
  • Track and analyse key product performance metrics and take action to improve outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing products or develop new propositions using data, market insight and broker/customer feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement across product processes to improve efficiency and customer experience.
