About The Position

The Head of US Market Access and Account Management (MA&AM) is responsible for ensuring optimal U.S. patient access, reimbursement, and coverage for Organon’s products in the US. This role defines and executes integrated market access strategies across government and commercial payers, health systems, and key accounts. The position partners closely with the US Business Units, Finance, Medical Affairs, and Legal teams to support sustained portfolio performance. Consistent with our Company's Corporate Values, this role is responsible for ensuring the strongest compliance, cross-functional collaboration, focusing on business drivers and enablers in order to drive business forward. The Head of US, MA&AM leads the team through navigating the evolving U.S. payer landscape. Additionally, this role oversees pricing strategies, contracting, contract analytics, patient assistance programs, and order management processes to ensure competitive and compliant market positioning, data-driven decision-making, affordability, and efficient order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, JD, or related field) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in U.S. pharmaceutical or biotechnology market access, payer marketing, or account management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Managed Care-related field (e.g., Contract Management, Customer Marketing, Managed Care Sales, Compliance, Legal, Payer Marketing, Pricing, Financial or Sales Analysis).
  • Proven leadership experience supporting both product launches and mature brands in the U.S. market.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. payer systems, including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty pharmacy channels.
  • Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and analytical skills with experience influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, with strong project management skills.
  • High compliance IQ with a demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop both Account Level and Segment level strategies and manage without authority.
  • Strategic and tactical planning skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Organon employees must be able to satisfy all applicable travel and credentialing requirements, including associated vaccination prerequisites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the U.S. market access and account management strategy and vision supporting company and business unit objectives.
  • Serve as a core member of the U.S. Commercial leadership team.
  • Lead payer and key account engagement with national and regional health plans, PBMs, IDNs, and government stakeholders.
  • Guide formulary access, coverage policy, and utilization management strategies to optimize patient access.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Business Units, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance, and Legal teams.
  • Lead the development of value propositions, health economic evidence, and outcomes-based access strategies.
  • Oversee development of pricing strategies, ensuring competitive and compliant pricing models.
  • Oversee contracting and contract analytics to support data-driven decision-making as well as the execution and adjudication of contracts for the full Organon portfolio.
  • Oversee patient assistance programs to ensure affordability and access for patients.
  • Supervise order management processes to maintain efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Direct contract negotiations, including rebates, value-based agreements, and innovative access models.
  • Monitor U.S. payer policy, healthcare reform, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Establish performance metrics to track access success, pull-through, and return on investment.
  • Build, coach, and retain high-performing market access and account management teams.
  • Oversee internal communication plans, including leadership meetings, town halls, and culture team initiatives.
  • Manage the annual budget planning, including financial forecasting.
