About The Position

This position contributes to the company success by shaping the US perspective that informs globally defined talent acquisition and employer branding strategies, and by leading their execution within the US market. This position requires a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives in a matrix environment, balancing both team leadership and individual contribution.  The Head of Talent Acquisition, US is responsible for delivering directly and through others an exceptional candidate experience, best positioning the team for sourcing, attracting, and securing top talent that meets the current and future needs of the business.

Requirements

  • 7+ years progressive experience in talent acquisition/recruitment, inclusive of life science industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, HR, or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a talent acquisition leader and people manager / team leader
  • Experience working in multinational organizations, with EU headquarters
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a matrixed environment
  • Strong understanding of US recruitment practices and compliance requirements
  • Proven track record in talent attraction and employer branding
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (Success Factors preferred)
  • Well-organized and process oriented

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trust-based partnerships with Global Talent Acquisition, HRBPs and business leaders that enable open dialogue and strategic alignment that shapes effective recruitment and employer branding strategies
  • Collaborate closely with global counterparts to share insights, influence global strategy and system design, and maximize utilization of the global Applicant Tracking system.
  • Implement global Talent Acquisition and employer branding strategies at local level
  • Establish clear, actionable and sustainable talent acquisition strategies aligned with business needs, supported by consistent service-level expectations.
  • Actively lead or contribute to local or global projects in area of expertise
  • Oversee the successful recruitment of all open requisitions across the US population
  • Consolidate and communicate the status of all open and filled requisitions to key stakeholders.
  • Lead full cycle recruitment for Executive level positions and other roles as assigned.
  • Drive innovative sourcing methods to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical positions and succession planning gaps.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience aligned with Chiesi’s global values.
  • Use data, insights, and expertise to shape hiring decisions, refine processes, and persuade others toward best-practice approaches.
  • Subject Matter Expert on interviewing tips and best practices; partners with L&D to develop materials and facilitate learning initiatives related to interviewing and the candidate experience.
  • Oversee pre-boarding process, systems, and vendors
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant US laws and regulations, as well as global standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruitment and talent acquisition professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
  • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset, acting on feedback and learnings from all stakeholders to seek new ways to streamline our processes and/or develop the team
  • Develops and monitors plans to ensure service level expectations and key performance indicators as agreed to with the business are met
  • Leads team through ambiguity, offering balanced, informed perspectives that inspire confidence.
  • Coaches team to manage resistance effectively and with professionalism
  • Ensure self and team remain current on and informs organization about industry specific trends and shifts.
  • Regularly reviews resourcing requirement to effectively staff the team inclusive of flexible resources to manage fluctuating volumes
  • Manage operating expenses in assigned cost centers ensuring proper planning and adherence to approved budget
  • Manages and maintains active list of preferred external recruitment partners and other TA related vendors; negotiates terms and rates and holds partners accountable for success
  • Ensures timely and compliant purchase requisition and invoice processing
