About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic and highly creative Head of Social Media & Influencer Marketing to lead the evolution of Merlin Entertainments' North America social media & influencer strategy, while directly overseeing best in class delivery for the Orlando Cluster. This role is responsible for shaping and executing a region-wide vision for social excellence across all major platforms, strengthening brand presence and storytelling, evolving owned and influencer style content into the paid media space, and driving high-impact engagement that supports both commercial and brand objectives. This leader will champion the development of breakthrough social and influencer campaigns, manage a high performing team at the Orlando Cluster, whilst indirectly leading social & influencer teams across the region and ensure that the Orlando Cluster, home to some of Merlin’s most iconic attractions, delivers platform leading content that inspires, engages & converts. This Head of Social Media & Influencer Marketing will work closely with the broader marketing, content, and customer engagement teams to deliver compelling, creative campaigns that resonate with our audience and drive measurable results for the Orlando Cluster and the wider key regional strategic deliverables. This role will steward content strategy, community management, creator partnerships and always on brand storytelling to achieve measurable results across both local attraction KPI’s and the wider North America strategic priorities. This is a 12-month contract position, with a requirement to be onsite at our attractions twice per month, with additional visits as business needs require. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in social media management, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies for large-scale brands.
  • Deep expertise in social media platforms, content creation tools, and analytics platforms, including Sprinklr, Hootsuite, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong strategic, creative, and analytical capabilities, with a results-driven approach to social and influencer marketing.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving digital trends and platform innovations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience within entertainment, travel, hospitality, or related consumer-focused industries strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the North America social media and influencer marketing strategy across all Merlin brands and attractions, ensuring alignment with business and marketing objectives.
  • Define content frameworks, platform roles, posting cadence, and KPIs to drive measurable impact and cultural relevance.
  • Champion innovation, emerging trends, and new platform opportunities to maintain competitive and culturally relevant brand presence.
  • Oversee social media execution for the Orlando Cluster, including content creation, community management, and channel performance across all attractions.
  • Optimize social performance through data-driven insights, analytics, and test-and-learn initiatives while preserving distinct brand identities and storytelling.
  • Lead regional influencer and creator strategy across VIP, family, micro, and local creators, embedding best practices across cluster teams.
  • Build and manage relationships with creators, agencies, and talent partners to deliver scalable, high-performing collaborations.
  • Oversee influencer campaign development, negotiation, measurement, and reporting to maximize ROI.
  • Guide the development of high-performing, culturally resonant content across video, photography, UGC, and real-time storytelling.
  • Partner with creative and attraction teams to deliver hero moments, seasonal campaigns, and social-first concepts, ensuring strong brand alignment and creative excellence.
  • Establish and oversee community management standards, tone of voice, and moderation protocols across regional platforms.
  • Partner with PR and Legal teams to manage reputation risks, crisis response, and reactive issues, ensuring effective escalation processes.
  • Oversee social media performance analysis and reporting across engagement, reach, traffic, conversions, and sentiment.
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations and continuous optimization of social and influencer activity.
  • Provide data-driven insights and competitive analysis to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, cohesive marketing campaigns across all touchpoints.
  • Partner with performance marketing teams to drive cross-channel alignment, asset sharing, and campaign integration.
  • Provide regular strategic updates and performance reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Support ongoing professional development and growth within the social and marketing community.
  • Act as an active member of the Orlando Cluster leadership team and contribute to broader North America growth initiatives.
