About The Position

As the Head of Single Use and Integrated Systems Product Development you will lead and manage the Product Development team focused on Single Use and Integrated Systems, with a strong emphasis on transforming customer-centric innovations into unique product offerings. The role requires fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the organization while establishing and maintaining robust relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, industry partners, and business leadership. This individuals will provide thought leadership by staying informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to guide R&D strategies. Additionally, the role includes setting clear objectives for the R&D team to ensure alignment with overall business goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline required.
10+ years of experience in product development, process development within the Life Sciences or related sectors.
Proven track record in leadership positions within a highly matrixed environment and in the management of large, global teams.
Experience managing diverse direct and cross-functional teams and leading high-impact projects with executive visibility.
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects and manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional communicator who engages senior leaders and distills complex issues into clear, actionable insights.
High tolerance for complexity, ambiguity, fast-paced, dynamic environments, and evolving business needs.

Nice To Haves

PhD or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

In close alignment with business strategy, execute a complex portfolio of Product development programs, achieving optimal resource deployment, prioritization, and delivering timely, impactful launches.
Lead a global team of engineers and scientists to develop advanced Systems and Single Use solutions for bioprocessing customers.
Collaborate with Software Development to provide a fully-integrated control platform for automated bioprocessing systems.
Collaborate with Marketing, Strategy, BD and Commercial, to ensure creation of a quality pipeline and smooth project execution.
Collaborate across business units, areas and sectors to identify and drive innovation initiatives spanning multiple businesses.
Drive innovation through focused technology development projects and external collaborations.
Ensure competitive Intellectual Property position through securing own IP, supporting Freedom to Operate analysis, Patent monitoring, and patent portfolio management.
Play a key role in creating technology roadmaps and innovation strategies.
Work with Marketing and Business Development to identify, vet out, and provide due diligence for acquisition targets.
Create an open and collaborative environment, foster intra-team communication, provide visibility to all team members, support initiative and risk taking.
Develop people on both technical and management tracks.
