We’re now seeking an experienced and influential Head of Safety to lead our Safety, Wellbeing and Injury Management team. This is a critical senior leadership role for a proven safety leader who can operate strategically, influence at Executive and Board level, and embed a genuine Safety-First culture across a multi-site FMCG operation. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and operating as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Safety provides thought leadership and strategic direction across health, safety, wellbeing, food safety and injury management. You will shape and deliver enterprise-wide strategies that protect our people, meet regulatory requirements, and support productivity and sustainable business performance. What’s the Scoop? Setting and delivering Bulla’s Safety & Wellbeing strategy, aligned to business objectives and risk profile Providing expert safety advice to the Executive team and Board, including reporting to Risk & Compliance Committees Leading the evolution of a proactive, accountable Safety-First culture across all sites Ensuring compliance with national OH&S legislation, safety management systems and hazard controls Overseeing incident management, investigations, audits, risk assessments and corrective actions Leading Workers Compensation and Injury Management strategies to improve outcomes and reduce costs Driving strong integration of food safety and quality principles into day-to-day decision-making Acting as a visible, values-led leader and ambassador for Bulla’s family culture and DE&I commitments What You’ll Bring: Credible, influential safety leader operating effectively at strategic and operational levels Strong commercial acumen with sound judgement in complex, fast‑paced environments Proven ability to engage, challenge, and influence Executive, Board, and senior stakeholders Demonstrated experience leading safety functions within FMCG or operational settings Strong coaching and people leadership capability, with a track record of building high‑performing teams Tertiary qualifications in OHS (or related discipline) with deep knowledge of Australian OH&S and Injury Management legislation Data‑driven, solutions‑focused mindset with high attention to detail and a strong focus on improved safety outcomes Why Bulla? Requirements

  • Credible, influential safety leader operating effectively at strategic and operational levels
  • Strong commercial acumen with sound judgement in complex, fast‑paced environments
  • Proven ability to engage, challenge, and influence Executive, Board, and senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience leading safety functions within FMCG or operational settings
  • Strong coaching and people leadership capability, with a track record of building high‑performing teams
