The Impact You Will Have The Dir Sr Product – Coupe Health will be the strategic visionary defining and executing Coupe Health's product roadmap, transforming how employers and members experience healthcare benefits by evolving of our digital platforms—from member portals and mobile applications to provider tools and employer dashboards to deliver simplicity and transparency across every touchpoint. This role will bridge the gap between technological capability and market need, driving innovation that differentiates Coupe in the rapidly growing Alternative Health Plan market. This role’s leadership directly influences our ability to scale membership and maintain market leadership while enhancing the exceptional experience that defines our brand.

Requirements

  • Accepting this position at BCBSMN requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.
  • 10+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling consumer-facing digital products with measurable impact on user engagement and business outcomes
  • Healthcare industry experience, preferably in health plans, benefits administration, or healthcare technology
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, and platform decisions
  • Experience leading product organizations through periods of significant growth and transformation
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing product teams
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence at all levels
  • Expertise in modern product management methodologies, including agile development, design thinking, and lean experimentation
  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with health plan operations, claims adjudication, or benefits design
  • Background in B2B2C product models serving both enterprise clients and end consumers
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements including HIPAA, state insurance regulations, and fiduciary considerations
  • Track record of successful product launches in highly regulated industries
  • Experience integrating products with third-party platforms and partner ecosystems (TPAs, PBMs, provider networks)
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards and emerging technologies
  • Prior work at high-growth startups or within innovation functions at established healthcare organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex systems and translate technical capabilities into compelling user value propositions

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision Define and own the multi-year product strategy aligned with Coupe's business objectives and market positioning against competitors
  • Establish product principles and frameworks that guide decision-making across the organization
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging trends in healthcare technology, benefits design, and consumer digital experiences
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate company strategy into actionable product initiatives
  • Product Development & Execution Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and definition through launch and iteration
  • Build and maintain a prioritized product roadmap that balances innovation, technical debt reduction, and operational efficiency
  • Establish product development processes that enable rapid experimentation while maintaining quality and compliance
  • Drive data-informed decision making through robust analytics, A/B testing, and user research programs
  • Digital Experience Leadership Own the member, employer, and provider digital experiences across web, mobile, and integrated platforms
  • Champion user-centered design principles and ensure accessibility across all products
  • Define and measure experience metrics that connect user satisfaction to business outcomes
  • Lead the evolution of our Health Valet digital tools to enhance the concierge service model
  • Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with product engineering to ensure product vision is achievable within architectural and resource constraints
  • Partner with Operations to design products that improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Work with Growth and Sales to develop product capabilities that support new market expansion and employer acquisition
  • Align with Compliance and Legal to ensure products meet regulatory requirements across all active states
  • Team Building & Leadership Provide strategic direction while building, coaching, and mentoring a high-performing product management organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish career paths and development programs that attract and retain top product talent
  • Foster a culture of customer obsession, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement
