About The Position

J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions (JPMWS) is seeking a Head of Private Market Solutions to join our team. With a diverse client base of over 2000 corporate clients, ranging from early-stage start-ups to established multinational corporations, JPMWS manages nearly $370 billion in assets for 1.8 million corporate employee participants. Our team has over 600 experienced professionals in 17 locations worldwide.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of experience in private markets, equity compensation, corporate banking or investment banking coverage, or closely related domains.
  • Deep understanding of the cap table and private company ecosystem in the US, including the roles of VC/PE/key law firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of how high-growth private companies manage their external investment and stock plans.
  • Strategic mindset; comfortable owning the strategy creation in partnership with key stakeholders and creating executable processes for teams on the ground to implement.
  • Demonstrable track record of defining sales strategies and scaling market share with late-stage private and pre-IPO companies, without direct quota-carrying responsibilities.
  • Commercial acumen with an ability to be innovative and proactive in a dynamic, competitive market.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-party environments.
  • Proven numeric, financial analysis, documentation, and procedural skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with CRM and reporting platforms as approved by JPMorgan Chase.

  • Strong network with venture capital and private equity firms, and credibility with late-stage company leadership teams.
  • Experience with JPMorgan Chase stakeholders that already work with the target clients for the Workplace Solutions Private Company business.
  • Experience with partnership frameworks and third-party collaborations in the private company ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with global private markets, especially in the UK and other opportunistic regions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Cap Table Offerings and future liquidity solutions (e.g., tenders, ISO funding or lending, etc.) for private companies.
  • Define and continuously refine the strategy for growing the private markets business across Workplace Solutions and equity management offerings, including segmentation, value proposition, positioning, and go-to-market frameworks.
  • Establish the operating model for private markets coverage: create playbooks, clarify roles and responsibilities, set governance routines, and drive cross-functional alignment across Workplace Solutions and partner businesses.
  • Develop and execute client acquisition strategy, pricing, upsell/cross-sell strategy, and market positioning in partnership with Sales, CRM, and Marketing.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to design account-based marketing strategies, events, and campaigns that increase awareness and demand among priority private market segments.
  • Work closely with Product and Technology organizations to represent private market prospect needs and influence roadmap prioritization for equity management capabilities.
  • Develop partnership frameworks with key private market ecosystem participants (e.g., VC, PE, law firms) to enhance market access and thought leadership, in alignment with firm policies.
  • Establish strong cross-LOB partnership with CIB/Commercial Bank, including incentives, governance, and campaigns.
  • Represent JPM in all environments – C-suite presentations, industry conferences, internal committees, etc.
  • Collaborate with control partners (Legal, Risk, Compliance) on all key changes and initiatives to ensure consistent, scalable, and compliant execution across regions.
  • Geographic focus: Primarily U.S. and UK/Europe.
