About The Position

A senior quant leader to scale the analytical processes for client portfolio management of our Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) business. This role owns the design and execution of portfolio structuring, risk management oversight and PM-adjacent servicing workflows and serves as a key partner to Portfolio Managers, Engineering, and Client Service leadership. Portfolio Strategists are an extension of our quantitative Portfolio Management function ensuring that clients get sophisticated analytical support as part of their relationship with Brooklyn from Nuveen. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute processes to scale portfolio surveillance and risk management
  • Create processes and supervise the maintenance of client-directed model portfolios, asset allocation models and custom alpha signals
  • Provide leadership in the development and oversight of the Portfolio Strategist team
  • Structure and approve client mandates; supervise Portfolio Strategist in the same function
  • Direct limited client portfolio actions (e.g., cash flows, start/stop trade, corporate actions)
  • Review and grant exceptions for requests that fall outside the traditional account parameters
  • Define and maintain policies for portfolio actions and exceptions
  • Leverage and contribute to Brooklyn’s simulation infrastructure to create custom portfolio analyses and proposals
  • Review account performance and performance attribution with clients and their investment committees
  • Present to clients and prospects as a senior member of the Portfolio Management team
