About The Position

The Head of Network Planning & Warehouse, Dasher & Logistics Strategy & Operations will own the design and expansion of DashLink’s network footprint. You’ll be responsible for building strategies that improve coverage, service quality, and cost efficiency while enabling DoorDash to compete at scale. • You’re strategic and systems-oriented – You can design networks that balance coverage, cost, and service while anticipating second- and third-order effects.
  • You’re highly analytical – You are fluent in data and modeling (Excel, SQL, Python, or network modeling tools) and use it to ground your decisions.
  • You thrive in scaling environments – You’re comfortable operating with ambiguity and building solutions in uncharted territory.
  • You’re cross-functional – You’ve led initiatives that align operations, product, and finance around a shared strategy.
  • You have deep logistics experience – 8+ years in transportation, supply chain strategy, consulting, or operations roles, with experience in carrier selection, SLA design, or network optimization.
  • You deliver results – You’ve driven measurable improvements in cost, service, or coverage at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design network expansion – Build and execute coverage strategies to support DoorDash’s nationwide growth. Develop market entry plans, prioritize regions, and inform site selection with external partners.
  • Optimize first-mile and middle-mile – Create induction and routing strategies that align with merchant expectations, improve reliability, and reduce transportation costs.
  • Benchmark against industry leaders – Shape service standards that are competitive with national carriers, improving speed and consistency for our customers and merchants.
  • Shape long-term architecture – Identify opportunities for regional nodes, hub-to-hub transfers, and consolidation strategies that enable cost-efficient scaling.
  • Drive analytical rigor – Build and own models that project coverage, cost per unit, and service levels, ensuring strategy is grounded in data.
  • Partner cross-functionally – Collaborate with Transportation, LiveOps, Product, and Finance to execute launches, measure success, and ensure the network design scales with business growth.
  • Lead execution at scale – Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, manage timelines for market launches, and deliver against milestones.
