We are seeking a highly motivated and technically fluent marketing professional to join our collaborative and performance-driven team. This role requires a unique blend of big-picture strategy and hands-on execution. We are looking for someone who can think at the firm level and execute at the detail level. The role offers a clear path for growth and expanded leadership over time. Role Overview As the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will play a central role in strengthening the firms brand, elevating our position in the AI and frontier technology investment landscape, and amplifying the success of our portfolio companies. This is a hands-on leadership role with full ownership of content creation, digital marketing, communications strategy, community engagement, and event planning and execution. You will be supported by a creative designer, an external public relations firm, and a rotating co-op (six-month cycles) to help execute across these areas.

Requirements

  • Four to seven years of relevant professional experience, including prior experience within a technology company or investment organization where developing a strong understanding of complex technical products was essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and investment concepts into clear and compelling content.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing platforms, content management systems, analytics tools, and AI-powered writing and productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated experience operating effectively in a lean, fast-paced, high-accountability environment with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • High emotional intelligence and proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Meaningful exposure to generative AI and applied artificial intelligence technologies strongly preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy and Firm Positioning: Own the firm’s marketing, content, and communications strategy and execution. Translate firm priorities into a clear annual and quarterly execution roadmap in collaboration with partners and firm stakeholders. Position the firm as a leading voice in B2B AI and frontier technology and as a trusted partner to founders and company builders. Deliver core messaging frameworks, campaign themes, and firm-wide narratives that are consistently reflected across all channels and events.
  • Content Strategy and Creation: Serve as the VC’s primary writer and editor, leveraging AI-assisted writing and production tools to maintain a consistent cadence of high-quality content including whitepapers, blog posts, case studies, founder and portfolio features, executive talking points, newsletters, and video scripts. Own the full content lifecycle from concept development through drafting, editing, stakeholder review, and publication. Delegate production tasks to a rotating co-op team member (six-month cycles) and provide mentorship and professional development throughout each rotation.
  • Digital Marketing and Platform Management: Create and lead website strategy and management, search engine optimization, social media presence, and email campaigns to attract and engage entrepreneurs, prospective fund investors, investment partners, and the broader technology ecosystem. Deliver measurable growth in engagement and visibility across digital platforms and ensure the firm’s online presence reflects its technical depth and investment focus.
  • Portfolio Promotion and Ecosystem Development: Partner with portfolio company founders and marketing teams to highlight company achievements and products, driving visibility and market adoption while providing insight into firm’s investment strategy. Deliver coordinated announcements, feature stories, and promotional initiatives that elevate portfolio visibility. Help cultivate existing and new preferred vendor relationships and strengthen the broader ecosystem.
  • Communications, Public Relations, and Media: Manage the relationship with the external public relations firm, aligning on priorities, timelines, and deliverables to drive a pipeline of thought leadership opportunities including content submissions, speaking engagements, and media interviews. Develop and execute communications strategies, including newsletters and stakeholder updates, for limited partners, founders, advisors, and the broader network. Strengthen engagement across the firm’s community, including founders, advisors, investors, and ecosystem partners, ensuring consistent and thoughtful interaction that reinforces long-term relationships.
  • Event Leadership and Execution: Lead planning and execution of the flagship Annual Summit, including speaker outreach, agenda development, portfolio logistics, invitations, marketing collateral, and day-of run-of-show management. Direct a creative designer on all event branding, signage, visual assets, and marketing design across campaigns and firm materials. Support additional firm-hosted events that advance brand visibility and community engagement.
  • Budget, Operations, and Reporting: Manage the marketing budget with full accountability for allocation, vendor oversight, and return on investment. Establish performance metrics and deliver regular reporting across website, SEO, social, email, and campaigns. Analyze results, refine strategy, and ensure communications remain disciplined, data-informed, and competitively differentiated.
