About The Position

We are looking for a Head of Market Development & Specification for our North American region. This position will focus on promoting the adoption of low-carbon concrete by educating and influencing key decision-makers involved in specifications and approvals. Unlike traditional sales roles, success in this position will be measured by the adoption of CarbonCure's technology and increased production volumes from customers, achieved through approvals from Departments of Transportation (DOTs), acceptance into specifications, and demand generated by stakeholders such as architects, engineers, specifiers, and large end-users. The responsibilities of this role include educating and engaging key stakeholders, such as corporate sustainability leaders, developers, designers, builders, regulators, and policymakers, to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon concrete. The ideal candidate will be a respected voice in the industry, offering both technical credibility and a strong executive presence. This role will have a significant market impact and will be externally focused, collaborating closely with the North American Sales team and external partners to transform project-specific customers into long-term partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, construction materials, engineering, or adjacent industries, with direct experience working with or influencing DOTs or regulatory bodies, architects, engineers, specifiers, and large owners or developers.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to confidently discuss material performance, standards, approvals, and constructability considerations.
  • Proven ability to shape markets through specifications, policy, or owner requirements, and translate these into measurable adoption and growth.
  • Executive-level communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the construction supply chain, from owner and designer through contractor and concrete producer, and the priorities of each.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, technical specialists, sustainability, and executive teams to drive aligned market outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating long sales, approval, and specification cycles in regulated or conservative industries.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically (up to 40%).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data-center, hyperscale, or mission-critical construction is an asset.
  • Experience with sustainability, embodied carbon, materials innovation, or low-carbon technologies is an asset.
  • Participation in standards committees, specification development, or industry working groups is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement and submittals with Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and federal, state, and municipal authorities to secure approvals, specifications, and standards inclusion for CarbonCure technologies.
  • Expand the number of jurisdictions formally approving or requiring CarbonCure, driving adoption across public and private infrastructure projects.
  • Influence architects, engineers, and specifiers to request and accept CarbonCure concrete at the project design and approval stage.
  • Represent CarbonCure as a credible industry authority on low-carbon concrete and infrastructure decarbonization with regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies.
  • Create upstream demand that pulls CarbonCure into projects before concrete is bid, specified, or supplied, shaping outcomes early in the project lifecycle.
  • Drive tangible growth in customer production volumes directly tied to regulatory approvals, project specifications, and owner requirements.
  • Build direct relationships with owners and developers, with a focus on hyperscalers, data-center operators, and large infrastructure owners, to embed CarbonCure into standard project requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the infrastructure ecosystem, including owners, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and public-sector stakeholders.
  • Operate effectively and credibly with CEOs, innovation and sustainability executives, concrete technical directors, engineering principals, and senior public-sector leaders.
  • Educate multiple levels of the construction and infrastructure ecosystem on CarbonCure technologies, use cases, and environmental and operational benefits.
  • Partner closely with CarbonCure sales executives to convert project-specific wins into long-term strategic partnerships and repeat customer adoption.
  • Align market development, regulatory progress, and customer engagement with commercial strategy to support sustained regional growth.
  • Serve as a senior ambassador for CarbonCure, reinforcing trust, credibility, and long-term value with both internal and external stakeholders.
