About The Position

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a Head of Maintenance – West who will oversee the maintenance and reliability of all Filterbuy equipment and facilities in the West region. The role will also scope and manage capital projects including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and infrastructure improvements. The Head of Maintenance – West will report to the Vice President of Operations and lead a team of maintenance professionals. The ideal candidate will be located within daily commuting distance to Ogden, UT and will be required to travel to facilities across the United States and Canada. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Head of Maintenance – West to lead a hands-on, safety-first maintenance organization that directly impacts production success—driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance standards, and continuous improvement across our Western operations. Requirements

  • 3+ years of Maintenance leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated technical experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency with professional software including Microsoft Office or Google G-Suite, virtual connectivity tools such as Slack, and CMMS software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability for on-call support and managing emergency maintenance scenarios.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional international trips.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, ensuring timely resolution and comprehensive follow-up to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment at each Filterbuy operating location.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of production equipment.
  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team.
  • Manage maintenance expenditures, including spare parts and services, within established budgets.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to align maintenance activities with business needs.
  • Implement and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and managing facility assets.
  • Develop and execute project plans while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
