Your Role: The Head of Health, Safety & Environment is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the health, safety, and environmental programs of the company. This individual works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the biotech industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the health, safety, and environment team, ensuring effective collaboration across all functions of the company.
• Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies, including hazard assessments and control measures.
• Develop and deliver training programs to employees on health, safety, and environmental topics.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Manage the company's emergency response and crisis management plans.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance metrics, and provide regular updates to senior management.
