About The Position

We are seeking a Managing Director – Head of GenAI Product Strategy to lead the strategy, development and execution of AI-powered products and capabilities that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of AI at OneMain, working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, credit, compliance, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

12 + years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML products.
Proven track record of delivering AI-driven solutions in a regulated industry (financial services preferred).
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model lifecycle, and data infrastructure.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
Experience with agile methodologies and product development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with responsible AI principles and model governance.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GenAi vendors.
Knowledge of financial services, lending, or credit risk analytics.

Responsibilities

Define and own the GenAI Strategy and product roadmap aligned with OneMain’s strategic objectives.
Accountable for the AI function including governance, product, training agenda and the organization journey towards becoming a GenAI fluent organization.
Lead the development of AI solutions across areas such as credit decisioning, fraud detection, customer personalization, and operational automation.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate business needs into scalable AI models and tools.
Ensure AI products meet regulatory, ethical, and fairness standards.
Use data and experimentation to validate hypotheses and optimize product performance.
Communicate product vision, progress, and impact to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Foster alignment across cross-functional teams through clear documentation, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
