Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of Fraud Event Management (Business Execution Director) within the Global Employee Fraud Monitoring & Fraud Policy organization of Fraud & Claims Management. This leader will stand up and lead an enterprise fraud event management function—activating cross‑functional working groups in response to internal and external fraud risk events, driving end‑to-end assessment and root cause analysis, and delivering executive-ready insights, governance, and sustainable control improvements. In addition, this leader will be accountable for the Fraud & Falsification policy responsibilities related to Incident Management, root cause and operational risk events where centralized and monitoring activities that are decentralized. In this role, you will: Activate and lead cross-functional, horizontal working teams in response to internal or external fraud risk events; rapidly assess root cause, control effectiveness, financial impact, and potential customer harm to drive timely resolution Lead or partner depending on accountability with end-to-end assessments and outcomes required by enterprise policies (Fraud & Falsification Incident Management & Monitoring, Fraud-related Operational Risk Events and Allegation Management significant event and root cause leads) ensuring effective risk management and mitigation Produce formal documentation and communications, including After Action Reviews (AARs), issue management assessments, and executive/regulator report-outs; present findings to senior leaders, Operating Committee stakeholders, and regulatory audiences as needed Own and maintain the Fraud Core Team Event Management Playbook and associated governance, routines, and controls to drive consistent best practice execution and adherence enterprise-wide Develop executive reporting and thematic analysis to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities across events; synthesize complex fact patterns into clear, actionable insights for decision-making Build, lead, and develop a team responsible for fraud event management and root cause outcomes, including setting priorities, assigning work, and managing capacity to deliver time-sensitive assessments Provide coaching and development to strengthen core competencies (structured problem solving, process improvement, analytical rigor, and executive communication) and foster a strong risk mindset and collaboration across functions Lead a team of approximately 10 individual contributors (no manager direct reports anticipated) Operate with a high degree of independence and sound judgment; escalate as appropriate based on risk, impact, and regulatory sensitivity Regular, ongoing engagement with senior leaders across the enterprise (often weekly) and daily partnership within Fraud & Claims Management and partners Support quarterly updates and report-outs for regulators (including OCC and FRB) as applicable
