About The Position

As the Head of Finance , you will be the architectural lead for our financial health. This isn't just about balancing ledgers; it’s about building a scalable financial engine that supports our rapid expansion. You will ensure the stability of our current assets while providing the strategic oversight necessary to acquire new ones, directly impacting our ability to provide affordable housing to thousands of residents.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a finance management or controller-level role, ideally within the Real Estate industry.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and modern financial management software.
• A hands-on approach to bookkeeping and accounting—you aren't afraid to get into the weeds of a general ledger.
• The ability to pivot between high-level strategy and granular task management in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.
• Prior experience specifically within Affordable Housing or Mobile Home Park management.
• Experience implementing or optimizing PropTech financial stacks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting functions for our diverse portfolio of 25+ properties.
• Manage all financial aspects related to taxes, insurance, and lender requirements, ensuring we remain in good standing across all jurisdictions.
• Partner closely with Property Managers to ensure accurate reporting, budget adherence, and streamlined fund flows.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review, providing clear insights into portfolio performance.
• Act as a key player in the growth cycle by conducting rigorous financial due diligence on potential new property acquisitions.
