About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and emotionally intelligent Field Operations Manager to lead our distributed teams of automotive detailing professionals. The ideal candidate will be a master of both the technical aspects of our trade and the art of remote leadership. You will be responsible for overseeing all field activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and fostering a positive and productive culture across our entire team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in process improvement and a unique ability to build a bridge of communication and collaboration between our field experts and our remote office staff.

Requirements

  • Extensive Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in automotive paint systems, advanced restoration techniques, and the professional installation of mobile ceramic coatings.
  • Proven Remote Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing large, tiered teams of field professionals in a remote or distributed environment.
  • Process Improvement Champion: A proven track record of building, analyzing, and enhancing operational systems to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Exceptional Emotional Intelligence (EQ): The ability to connect with and earn the trust of our field staff, while also effectively communicating and collaborating with our remote office colleagues and leadership. Must be adept at navigating different social and professional dynamics with integrity and a focus on team unity.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM and field service management software.
  • Certifications in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage robust systems to monitor and ensure the highest quality of service delivery across all field operations.
  • Continuously analyze and improve operational systems to create a seamless and efficient workflow between our field staff, office personnel, and virtual teams.
  • Provide expert technical insights and support to the customer support team as needed to resolve client issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring of new field staff, ensuring that all new hires align with our company culture and values.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program, including equipment and uniform provisioning, training scheduling, and progress tracking to ensure a smooth and effective integration for new team members.
  • Manage and mentor Field Training Officers (FTOs) and local managers to ensure consistent and high-quality on-the-ground training.
  • Champion a positive and engaging field culture, acting as a morale leader and ensuring that our technicians feel supported and valued.
  • Turn technicians into brand ambassadors and sales leaders
  • Oversee all field scheduling, including optimizing service zones, managing time-off requests, and resolving distance and travel-related issues to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage the entire supply chain for field operations, including inventory of ceramic coatings, gear, and chemical supplies, to ensure our teams are always well-equipped.
  • Act as the central point of communication for our field staff, efficiently forwarding messages and inquiries to the appropriate departments.
