About The Position

tonies is the globally leading interactive audio platform for children with more than 10 million Tonieboxes and 125 million Tonies sold. The intuitive and award-winning audio system has changed the way young children play and learn independently with its child-safe, wireless, and screen-free approach. Tonieboxes have been activated in over 100 countries, the content portfolio includes around 1,400 Tonies in several languages. Since its inception, tonies has achieved significant milestones, including listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in November 2021 as well as a globally present team of over 550 dedicated professionals operating from various countries. As the Head of End User Technologies you will be the key leader responsible for the stability, performance, and strategic evolution of our IT office infrastructure and operations. You will serve as the central point of coordination for all IT end user services, ensuring they align with business objectives and support our current organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Experience & Leadership: At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT management. You should be comfortable with an early to mid-stage maturity level IT organization, with a proven ability to lead and develop a globally distributed team.
  • Global Scaling Expertise: Demonstrated ability to build and manage globally distributed IT teams and support structures in a lean multi-entity, international business environment by balancing internal capabilities with external expertise or service support partners.
  • Technical Acumen: In-depth experience with standard office applications & infrastructure, and a strong understanding of how to professionally manage a distributed environment.
  • Strategic & Adaptive Mindset: Proven records depicting transformation paths of IT services, teams, and environments. You must be comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and be able to scale structure over time.
  • Organizational Savvy: The ability to adapt to organizational needs and translate them into relevant and actionable IT tasks, considering our size and culture. You are organized, proactive, and resourceful.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will need to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and build strong relationships across the company.
  • Location: Candidates must be currently located in Germany (Düsseldorf / Berlin) and open to a hybrid work policy with 2-3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Global IT Leadership: Lead, develop, and further establish a global IT department, implementing a best-fit and efficient IT-Service Operations and Management model.
  • Team & Capability Building: Mentor and develop a globally distributed team, cultivating a culture of technical excellence and business-centric delivery.
  • Service & Infrastructure Management: Extend and manage tonies' IT end user offerings around office applications & infrastructure and device management. Ensure all tonies offices and remote workers have a reliable and secure environment.
  • Strategic Optimization: Continuously optimize tonies' corporate IT landscape and services by consolidating redundant services, leveraging synergies, and improving integration and automation.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Management: Manage internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure all IT initiatives are aligned with business needs and deliver maximum value.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day management of all IT end user services and infrastructure, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and efficient service delivery.
  • Budget Management: Manage the IT end user operations budget, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure maximum value from our technology investments.
