Position Summary The Head of Digital, IT has ultimate responsibility for the information systems/technology functions within the company and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team to drive the Digital Roadmap for the organization. This role is responsible for providing leadership and developing comprehensive IT Roadmap that supports the organization’s long-term goals, fosters innovation, and drives operational efficiency. The leader must be adaptable and willing to lead the change.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the company’s business strategy and value creation framework.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build consensus around complex technical initiatives.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as the ability to handle complex situations and demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving.
  • Deep understanding of information technology and computer systems, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking/infrastructure and Risk Management.
  • Deep knowledge of information systems used in optimizing and automating business processes across the entire company, for example, but not limited to, Enterprise Resource Planning, Quality Management Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Laboratory Management Systems, Product Lifecycle Management, Document Management, Payroll and Tax Management, HR Support, Legal Systems, and others.
  • Knowledge of business operations, including effective budget development and management processes, as well as the ability to translate strategic thinking into action plans and related outcomes.
  • A professional presence and strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to effectively with colleagues globally, with a goal to foster an inclusive, safe and supportive working environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s, degree in Information technology, computer science, Business Administration and/or related field, preferably a combination of fields.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership roles within information technology.
  • A minimum of ten years of management experience.
  • ERP - SAP S4 RISE (Implementation and Enterprise Application Support)
  • Working knowledge of business-critical applications like LIMS, MES, and QMS
  • Previous leadership experience working in a Life Sciences/ CMO/ CDMO/ Biotechnology and/or clinical diagnostic organization, which included manufacturing in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Vision and Leadership: Must have the skills to influence and motivate people. Focus on developing an IT vision and managing the change necessary to achieve it.
  • Digital Transformation & Innovation: Drives adoption of emerging technologies that enhance customer experience through digital channels and automation. Leads initiatives to modernize legacy systems, adopt latest technologies (e.g., AI, cloud computing, data analytics, machine learning), and enhance the organization’s overall Digital capabilities.
  • Stakeholder management: Ability to build/foster relationships with key business stake holders and partner senior executives/site/department heads, to align IT initiatives with business needs. Advise executive leadership on Technology trends and best in class, fit for purpose business transformation solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Plays a crucial role in developing 3-5 years of IT Roadmap. Must stay informed of the latest Technology trends and assess their potential impact on the firm's operations. Design holistic technology, digital and data strategies to support business objectives.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of IT systems and processes, and reports progress to the executive team.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team under his/her, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget under respective cost center, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while delivering maximum value to the organization.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
