About The Position

Triumph makes mobile gaming more thrilling by letting players wager -- and win -- real money, play in mass multiplayer games, and compete in social tournaments. We've built the top app in our App Store category and sustained exponential month-over-month growth on our revenue and active players. We're hyper-scaling our team and continuing to innovate, launching new products like Rips, our collectibles app, which has found huge success and is continuing to expand. And we're just getting started. Triumph is backed by some of the top consumer VCs including Goodwater Capital, General Catalyst, and DraftKings Drive Fund. Triumph is one of the fastest-growing platforms in the collectibles space, and we're looking for an experienced operator to own the buying function completely. As the Head of Buying & Category Expansion, you'll be responsible for tens of millions in annual purchasing across all collectibles categories, setting strategy, managing vendors, and ensuring we have the right inventory at the right time as we scale. You'll work closely with Finance and Operations leadership to deploy capital efficiently and expand beyond Pokémon cards into additional collectibles categories.

Requirements

  • We're open to folks from different backgrounds and experience. We're looking for an exceptional systems-thinker who builds strong relationships and can responsibly deploy capital at scale.
  • You're a great fit for this role if you're a former management consultant, investment banker, sales leader, PM, or startup founder.
  • If you've managed or influenced a multimillion-dollar portfolio, have experience structuring complex agreements, and have led or developed a team, we want to hear from you!

Nice To Haves

  • Background in collectibles or trading cards, especially familiarity with TCG pricing dynamics, PSA and BGS grading, or tools like Card Ladder.
  • Experience with e-commerce, marketplace businesses, or physical goods at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the buying function end-to-end: vendor relationships, inventory positioning, and capital deployment across all collectibles categories.
  • Identify and evaluate new collectibles categories for expansion, assessing market size, sourcing viability, and margin profile in partnership with leadership.
  • Lead and develop the purchasing team, maintaining high standards for execution as the business scales.
  • Build and manage our vendor network, negotiating pricing, allocation rights, payment terms, and supply agreements.
  • Design and maintain inventory systems: demand forecasting, replenishment rules, per-category purchasing budgets, and risk frameworks.
  • Build reporting that gives leadership clear, accurate visibility into inventory levels, capital at risk, and how inventory is converting to revenue.
  • Partner with Finance on working capital planning; partner with Operations on storage and fulfillment constraints.
