About The Position

The Head of Athletics provides spiritual, strategic, and operational leadership for the entire athletics program at Rejoice Christian School. This role exists to ensure that athletics is a mission-aligned, co-curricular extension of the school, forming student-athletes who reflect Christlike character, pursue excellence, and grow spiritually, intellectually, relationally, and physically. The Head of Athletics champions and implements the RCS Athletics Playbook, ensuring that every sport, season, coach, and competition reflects the school’s mission, vision, and core values of Relationship, Character, Scripture, and Excellence. This leader sets the culture, develops coaches, partners with families, and oversees systems that allow athletics to flourish in a Christ-honoring manner, fully aligned with the life of the classroom. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Head of Athletics collaborates with senior leaders to advance the school’s mission, culture, and long-term strategic priorities. As a senior leader, the Head of Athletics is expected to both embody and reinforce the RCS Characteristics of Professional Excellence among coaches, staff, and student-athletes. In partnership with families and school leadership, the Head of Athletics helps ensure athletics reinforces the Portrait of an RCS Graduate, so that students follow Christ daily, grow in wisdom, love their neighbors, lead with courage, and flourish with excellence. In collaboration with the Head of School, the Head of Athletics provides operational and cultural oversight support to the Director of Spiritual Formation for Athletics, ensuring that biblical immersion and discipleship are fully integrated into all athletic programs.
