About The Position

The Head of the Art Department is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of education for students and teachers at One River School. You will build and lead a team of arts educators to become the cultural backbone within the community. As the Head of Art Education you will combine your love of art education with your leadership skills.

Requirements

Passionate about art & creative education
A highly experienced, inspirational art educator (5+ years experience)
Service-focused and detail-oriented
A hard-worker and a problem-solver
Proven track record in hiring, training and retaining teaching staff
Experienced at a team leader and mentor
Able to teach a variety of fine arts and digital art media
Computer literate with knowledge of customer service management systems
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, four year college or university required
Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to network, collaborate and build relationships with clients, partners, staff, remote colleagues and others
Detail oriented to keep track of inventory, supplies, schedules and timesheets
Familiar with organizing and promoting professional gallery shows
