About The Position

Vortexa is a fast-growing international technology business founded to solve the immense information gap that exists in the energy industry. By using massive amounts of new satellite data and pioneering work in artificial intelligence, Vortexa creates an unprecedented view on the global seaborne energy flows in real-time, bringing transparency and efficiency to the energy markets and society as a whole. We are seeking a Head of Market Analysis to lead our regional analysis team in the Americas. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of market analytics, client engagement, and thought leadership, shaping how Vortexa drives understanding and decision-making across the industry. As a senior market analyst and people leader, you will combine your deep market knowledge with our data and AI-driven platform to identify emerging trends, generate actionable research, and communicate these insights to clients, the media, and the wider industry. You will act as both a subject-matter expert and a visible ambassador of Vortexa’s analytical excellence. You will sit on the global analysis leadership team and work closely with the Chief Economist to set and deliver global and regional analytical strategies. Leading and developing the US-based team, and collaborating with analyst teams in other regions, you will ensure the team is self-sufficient in market and data analysis across all aspects of waterborne energy and freight. You and your team will publish and present our analysis, support sales in client meetings, respond to client queries, and help maintain the highest data quality.
