What it's like to be a Head Lifeguard at Head Lifeguard The City of Craig is seeking a dedicated Seasonal Head Lifeguard to join our dynamic Parks and Recreation Department. This pivotal role entails leading a team of lifeguards to maintain a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment at our municipal facilities. Requirements

  • Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certifications, or be able to obtain them by June 1, 2026, with training available if needed. Equivalent certifications recognized by the State of Colorado will also be accepted.
  • Candidates must have graduated from high school or obtained a General Education Degree (GED) and be at least 18 years of age.
  • A post-job offer drug screening and background check must be successfully completed.
  • Applicants should have one year or multiple summer seasons of experience working as a lifeguard
