Requirements

• Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to provide direct leadership, instruction.
• Knows and understands emergency procedures.
• Ability to maintain focus and alertness while on duty.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of swim skills.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and other patrons.
• Ability to demonstrate physical fitness to include frequent light to occasional heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.), swimming, standing, and walking for long periods of time, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to talk, hear, and see.

Nice To Haves

• 2 Years Lifeguarding.
• Prior supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Protect the safety and health of all patrons.
• Provide excellent customer service through consistent, fair, and courteous enforcement of rules.
• Maintain work area and surrounding environment.
• Assists with keeping the facility clean.
• Assists with mid-season performance evaluations for lifeguards.
• Ensures that all PA Department of Health and Lancaster County Safety Guidelines are always followed.
• Performs as manager-on-duty in the absence of pool manager.
