Requirements
- 17 years of age OR older
- Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
- Experience working as a team
- Lifeguarding experience
- 17 years of age and two years of experience OR 18 years of age and one year of experience
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the required number of lifeguards are on duty by overseeing rotations and breaks and providing ongoing monitoring and coaching to maintain a safe facility throughout the day.
- Oversee and develop lifeguard staff.
- Assisting with patron emergencies or concerns, including administering first aid, performing rescue techniques, and utilizing equipment as needed. Contacting emergency medical personnel when necessary.
- Daily inspections of lifeguard and pool equipment to ensure the overall safety of the aquatic center.
- Maintaining records of all lifeguards' required in-service hours and skills practiced to ensure each lifeguard completes 4 hours per month.
