About The Position

Little Rock Athletics is seeking a Head Women’s Volleyball Coach who will be responsible for the successful execution in planning, developing and administering all phases of the volleyball program, including recruiting and coaching high quality student-athletes and managing all coaching staff members. All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of intercollegiate Volleyball coaching experience
  • Expertise in the technical aspects of volleyball
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes, alumni and donors
  • Extremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivated
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to prioritize specific tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills including ability to utilize Teamworks platforms
  • Availability to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
  • Travel with sport teams for away contests
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA and UAC conference rules and regulations
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Master degree preferred
  • Previous head coaching experience at the collegiate level

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of the women’s volleyball program
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices and games, observing and evaluating performance and demonstrating proper techniques
  • Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes in conjunction with the academic staff
  • Recruit and evaluate high quality high school and transfer student athletes
  • Manage the women’s volleyball program within the parameters of the approved operating budget, including athletic scholarships and additional revenue share funds
  • Assist in fundraising activities as necessary including but not limited to representing the women’s volleyball program at professional meetings, alumni events and other events as necessary
  • Interview, supervise, train and evaluate assistant coaches and other support staff in the performance of their duties
  • Observes and promotes an atmosphere of compliance with all NCAA, United Athletic Conference (UAC) and institutional rules
  • Monitor student-athlete academic progress
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
