About The Position

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Head Coach for the Men's Soccer program. The University seeks a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong commitment to NCAA Division I-A athletics, integrity, compliance, character, and the academic and athletic experience of the student-athlete. Responsible for maintaining and strengthening a nationally competitive Men's Soccer program by presenting a clear vision and strategy to compete for B1G and NCAA Championships. Candidate must recruit on a national level and engage in the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes and is responsible for the program’s strict compliance with University, Big Ten Conference, and NCAA regulations. Commitment to comply fully with the mission statements of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. Proven organizational, evaluation, administrative, and communication skills; a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; and knowledge of NCAA regulations are required.

Requirements

  • At least six years of Division I coaching.
  • Coaching experience at the collegiate level is required.
  • Commitment to comply fully with the mission statements of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact.
  • Proven organizational, evaluation, administrative, and communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of NCAA regulations
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
