About The Position

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity in the Athletics Department as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach will plan and conduct goalkeeper training sessions; assist with team and field player development and training and contribute ideas and input for practices. In this role, you will evaluate athlete performances and make recommendations and/or decisions regarding participation in competitions. As the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach, you will be responsible for compliance with NCAA and HCAC rules operating within Institute and Sports specific policies; work in collaboration with the trainers and other staff (equipment, sports information, facilities) assigned to the team; identify, evaluate, and assist with the ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes. Recruitment responsibilities may be off campus, including home visits, and assist with on-campus visits (National or International). Additionally, you will support players to thrive academically; integrate athletes with Institute and department services; participate in scheduling, planning, and travel arrangements, which may include transporting to away competitions; research and recommend equipment purchases. You will communicate with alumni and friends of the program and assist with camps to raise funds for the team. Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and one to two years’ experience playing or coaching at the collegiate or professional level. Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree and college coaching experience. Preferred candidates will also have demonstrated ability to recruit academically oriented student-athletes. Salary range is $37,000 - $44,000. Salary is competitive. A higher salary may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
