About The Position

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support new products and projects in the HDD division. •Collaborates with Design Engineering on assembly DFA/FMEA/CTF and specification requirements for new product development. •Develop and deploy assembly process with Automated and Manual Tooling to assemble HDA’s from new product launch through volume production that meet CTF, KPI, and ROI requirements. •Requires tooling development skills: Design (SolidWorks), manufacture, evaluate and qualify. •Perform engineering calculations: tolerance study, GD&T, FEA. •Develops PMP, Process Control, and OCAP. •Establish setup and calibration procedures for new assembly tooling and testers. •Tooling project lead and schedule owner. •Requires some periodic travel to factories and suppliers in Asia. 2 – 4 times / year. 2 weeks per visit. •Excellent communication and planning skills. •Good team member.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
