About The Position

The Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees the daily operations of Blackhawk Country Club’s outdoor snack café and bar, Hawk’s Nest, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for members and guests. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional customer service, and solid operational management skills. The F&B Supervisor will work closely with the Executive Director of Food and Beverage to maintain high service standards, team efficiency, and overall member satisfaction. Additionally, this role serves as a steppingstone for individuals looking to grow their hospitality career. Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in a food & beverage environment required (private club, resort, or high-volume outdoor venue preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a member-focused approach.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
  • Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic accounting principles.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club events and peak seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations at Hawk’s Nest, including during bocce season, swim season, swim team events, and summer activities.
  • Oversee setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of outdoor spaces to maintain club standards.
  • Ensure that all health, safety, and sanitation regulations are consistently followed.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper stock for high-demand periods.
  • Assist with POS system management, including accurate pricing and transaction oversight. This area only accepts club member numbers for payment. Credit cards and cash are not accepted.
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of bartenders, cocktail servers, cashiers, and support staff.
  • Create and manage the weekly staff schedule to ensure proper coverage.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance feedback to enhance team productivity.
  • Interact with members to create a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment.
  • Address member feedback and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
  • Uphold service standards and ensure all staff adhere to club policies.
  • Assist in managing inventory, costs, and sales to meet budget targets.
  • Work with the Executive Director of F&B to implement pricing strategies and promotional offers.
  • Ensure cash handling procedures are followed to maintain accountability.
  • Collaborate with the events team to organize and execute outdoor events and club activities.
  • Coordinate F&B support for special events, ensuring seamless execution.
