Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a truck driver.
  • Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and extended periods of time.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Able to pass background check, drug screen, and employment recommendations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL
  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English, and perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.
  • Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Department of Transportation.
  • Must satisfactorily pass any physical testing requirements which are consistent with the job requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Pick-up and deliver forklifts, pallet jacks, man lifts and other material handling equipment to and from our customer’s locations.
  • Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions.
  • Secure cargo for transport and unload cargo.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate logs as required.
  • Adhere to the strictest of safety measures as required by state and federal authorities and the policies and procedures of the Company and our customers.
  • Report accidents or violations.
  • Back up the receiving dock when needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
