About The Position

The Egg Pick-Up Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of egg collection, transferring eggs into hatchers, ensuring that eggs are collected, handled, and transported in accordance with company standards and quality guidelines. This role supervises the egg pick-up team, egg transfer team, hatchery attendants, coordinates schedules, ensures equipment is maintained, and enforces biosecurity and safety protocols to support efficient and high-quality egg production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in agricultural production or logistics preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in poultry operations, egg production, or agricultural supervision.
  • Strong understanding of egg collection processes, biosecurity protocols, and quality standards.
  • Experience in supervising teams, managing schedules, and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the egg pick-up team, ensuring timely collection and transportation of eggs.
  • Supervise the egg transfer process, vaccine mixing, and all sanitation of transfer equipment.
  • Assign work schedules, monitor employee performance, and ensure adherence to production standards and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all equipment used in egg collection transfer and transportation is properly maintained and operational.
  • Implement and enforce biosecurity measures, ensuring that all employees comply with company and industry standards.
  • Monitor egg quality, egg moisture loss, handle any deviations from quality standards, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Train and develop team members, providing guidance on processes, safety, and equipment usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of egg collection, transportation, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to optimize production efficiency and address operational challenges.
  • Handle employee issues, including attendance, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, animal welfare standards, and regulatory requirements.
