This position is responsible for monitoring equipment and responding to alarms. Responsible for on call duties as required. Will conduct rounds of the hatchers and setters to proactively search out problems and troubleshoot and repair any minor problems found, calling maintenance when needed. Will fill the water bottles up and maintain wicks in the setters. Will also assist scanning eggs for the set crew and monitor the transfer process to ensure all equipment is operating properly. Will also be responsible for counting chicks 12 hours prior to processing to check hatch readiness. Could also be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading fully and empty rolling pallets of chicks (up to 1200lbs) and egg buggies (up to 800lbs) from trailers. Scheduled to work 2nd shift 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday, on call for the weekends.
