About The Position

Assists supervisor in day-to-day operation of kill and picking operations. Monitors birds exiting kill area and picking room, making necessary adjustments to equipment. The Lead is responsible for tracking the necessary paperwork and changes associated with live receiving (grower, grower changes, picks up paperwork at live scale, transfer information to appropriate reporting forms, keeps eviscerating and shipping aware of the birds being run.) He also gives breaks as necessary to live receiving personnel. Monitors birds as they exit kill and picking operation at start up and throughout the day making adjustments as necessary. This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • The Applicant must have a least six (6) months of Lead experience with single employer within the last 12 months
  • Accepting Rehires: Yes
  • 3 x Rule: If you have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times you are ineligible for rehire.
  • Rehire waiting period: 181-days.
