About The Position

Hangs live birds in a shackle. Located after the cage dumper; is the first chain driven Job Synopsis: The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back. The hangers will place any DOAs into DOA barrel at end of conveyor.
