About The Position
This posting is for the Harvest Room Back up Labor position which Hangs live birds in a shackle. It is scheduled for 2nd Shift. It has a base pay rate of $19.85 per hour. In addition, the team member can earn up to an additional $6 per hour incentive by maintaining excellent attendance Located after the cage dumper, this is the first chain-driven operation. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back. The hangers will place any DOA’s into DOA barrel at end of conveyor. All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history. This facility will not accept applicants that have worked for Tyson Foods more than 3 times. This facility accepts rehires after 365 days. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal
