About The Position
This position picks up live chickens fro m a conveyor belt and hangs them by the feet on a moving shackle line. The Live hanger picks up a chicken from a conveyor at waist height moving from the left to right and hangs the chicken by the feet in a moving shackle located over the conveyor belt at about chest height . DOA’s run off the end of the belt onto DOA table . Live hanger expectations are 24 birds per minute in all positions except when operating the switch (28 birds per minute) And any other duties as assigned by supervisor. - Hangs the chicken by the feet in a moving shackle located over the conveyor belt at about chest height
