Your Impact The Validation Test Technician will be responsible for executing test plans and documenting bug tickets including, but not limited to, creating a recording of the reproduction of the bug, capturing logs and keeping test cases up to date using Atlassian Suite and other test equipment software. Will also be working with remote software/firmware developers and product managers to test firmware / hardware fixes and new features in the allotted time communicated. Will conduct validation tests for new and/or legacy products, assemble automation test fixtures, sets up test equipment and maintain lab organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in test design, manual and/or automated testing
  • Experience with programmatic automated testing tools
  • Experience on testing proprietary hardware
  • Experience in environmental testing
  • Experience with identifying, documenting and reporting bugs
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment.
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor the productivity or efficiency of industrial operations.
  • Assemble equipment or components.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment, materials, or components
  • Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors.
  • Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technology and data related issues.
