What Makes This Role Great In this role, you will contribute to the design of hardware for high-performance aviation GPS receivers, working across all aspects of the design process. You will manage the specification, development, verification, and deployment life cycle for TMAS embedded GPS systems, helping to shape the future of aerospace technology.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in applications engineering of complex embedded software on multiple circuit-card assemblies.
  • Proficiency in system spec and interface control spec lifecycle management.
  • Expertise in requirements management, decomposition, flow down, and tracing from customer to detailed requirements.
  • Familiarity with requirements-based verification and qualification.
  • System-level perspective of embedded circuit board products, including electronic hardware, RF, software, and interface design.
  • Strong customer interaction skills to establish rapport, clarify expectations, and support integrations.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are essential for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Field Application Engineer (FAE) experience focused on DO-178C standards and certification processes.
  • Knowledge of DO-178C standards to guide customers through the certification process.
  • Demonstrated discipline in Configuration Management (CM) and Quality Assurance (QA) for requirements-based development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the specification, development, verification, and deployment life cycle for TMAS embedded GPS systems.
  • Support customer integration and use of receivers, generate data for proposals, and align product specifications with customer and program requirements.
  • Analyze system behavior under operating scenarios to resolve customer and field issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage the allocation of hardware, software, performance, and environmental requirements.
  • Lead the design, development, integration, and release of test stations and techniques.
  • Develop and publish product qualification test reports.
  • Ensure deliverable systems meet design assurance, certification, and quality standards by working with certification, CM, and QA leads.
