About The Position

The Hardware Coordinator/Technician I is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems. The person in this role will examine the systems to validate correct operations and identify errors. This role follows established procedures on routine work and requires detailed instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Builds stable working relationships internally
  • Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
  • IT savvy with an interest in new technologies
  • Familiarity with IT inventory environment
  • Comfortable with following technical instructions to flash drives, image devices and re-write hardware IDs
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent communicator in both written and verbal English
  • Ability to work in a team, but with minimal supervision
  • Able to excel in a fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to learn new things and adapt to a changing environment quickly
  • Understanding of business operations
  • Able to excel in a technical environment

Responsibilities

  • Assists with day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal systems software and hardware.
  • Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a diverse environment.
  • Helps with maintaining passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment.
  • Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Helps recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
  • May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
  • May help to conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications.
  • Other duties as required.
