We are seeking a Hardware Quality Specialist with hands-on hardware quality experience to become a key part of Operations Quality Team. Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AAA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Manufacturing process experience (assembly, inspection, test)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620, JSTD-001, and MIL-HDBK-454
  • Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
  • Six Sigma, ASQ Certifications
  • Proficient in the use of pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping
  • Able to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing)

Responsibilities

  • Inspect product to be complaint IPC/WHMA-A-620, JSTD-001, and MIL-HDBK-454
  • Non-conform and disposition non-conforming material on the floor.
  • Perform walk-back feedback to assemblers and inspectors when findings occur to reduce recurrence of escapes
  • Participate in MFG DPT (Defect Prevention Team) meetings to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation.
  • Perform process audits, process walks, operator observations, and participate in MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.
  • Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
  • Perform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness.
