Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in hardware or server lab management (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of cable installation, network infrastructure, power distribution systems, and safety standards
  • Hands-on experience with wiring, soldering (including fine-pitch), crimping, and power/hand tools
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for hardware and connectivity issues
  • Meticulous attention to detail for labeling, routing, and documentation
  • Ability to lift equipment and work in environments such as server rooms, raised floors, and lab spaces

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining liquid-cooled equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Wire and maintain power cords, console servers, terminal servers, lab networking, environmental chambers, and liquid-cooling equipment within Hardware EDVT labs
  • Maintain, track, and coordinate equipment repairs and calibrations in collaboration with vendors such as Weiss Technik and Delta
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving at HQ to send and receive Advance Replacement (AR) products between HQ and hardware storage locations
  • Assist cross-functional teams with setup and movement (15–20 lbs) of fixed and modular systems within HW Lab environments and chambers
  • Manage hardware lab storage areas, including tracking Devices Under Test (DUTs) moving in and out
  • Track inventory of optics, cables, and loopbacks across offsite locations, HQ, and HW labs; assist web teams in developing an e-inventory tool
  • Manage equipment reservations to support chamber testing, liquid cooling, and power testing
  • Learn and support liquid-cooling equipment management, server and lab infrastructure, and server configuration updates
  • Assist with moving pallets, boxes, furniture, and lab equipment as needed
  • Program and update system programmable devices such as CPLDs, FPGAs, microcontrollers, and onboard power supplies
