About The Position

About the Team DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We are working on building autonomous delivery robots from the ground-up and other automation solutions as part of DoorDash's core delivery platform. About the Role As an End of Line Engineer at DoorDash Labs you will play a critical role in scaling the production of our next-generation autonomous delivery robots. You will work with our Hardware team based in San Francisco and visit our production facilities around the Bay Area. This role is in-office 3-5 days a week.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering, e.g. robotics, mechanical, electrical or computer science
  • 5-8 years of industry experience working in manufacturing quality control
  • Experience bringing-up and calibrating sensing or compute systems, high voltage powertrains, and communication networks
  • Hands-on experience with CAN bus, Ethernet data logging & network analysis tools
  • Experience with Linux scripting & test automation
  • A working understanding of vehicle mechanicals and electronics
  • An interest in or working knowledge of autonomous vehicle perception systems

Responsibilities

  • Be part of an exciting effort to develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot
  • Reduce the time required to validate the robot assembly process while increasing quality control coverage
  • Create scripts, test equipment, and tooling used to enable rapid end of line checks
  • Vendorize existing test processes to allow assembly workforce scaling
  • Work with leaders and engineers across Design, Manufacturing, and Testing to incorporate changes to the design and assembly processes
