Job Description Design and layout of complex high-frequency Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and packages. Architecting precision, high-speed mixed-signal circuitry and acquisition systems. As part of the engineering team participate in the developing exiting and designing next generation high value-added instruments, using state of the art technology. Design test fixtures and automated test routines to support testing of prototypes. Focus on oscilloscope architecture development, complex board design, system analysis and debugging. Analysis proficiency to analyze circuit designs using circuit analysis techniques and calculations is expected. Documentation of engineering results and communication with our worldwide organization. This position will require constant interactions and collaboration with Software, Firmware and Mechanical engineering teams. Expertise in CAD systems for schematic entry and simulation tools, including Cadence (PSPICE) and Ansys (HFSS), is essential, along with proficiency in PC applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Apply academic knowledge of digital signal processing theory, high-speed mixed-signal design, signal integrity, transmission lines, RF/microwave concepts; precision electronic design, and general electronic design including power supply design, PLL, transistor level design and PCBA technology to the design of the electronic hardware. Must understand circuits in the frequency and time domain and how to use test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers and Digital Oscilloscopes. Will design simulation analysis with Orcad, PSpice, Excel, Ansys tools, MatLab or other software tools and use Python or similar scripting capability to analyze data.

  • PhD Electrical Engineering or the Foreign Equivalent
